Porkington Hamm and the Haunted House
A restless spirit. A missing pet. A mystery only Porkington can solve.
Mugsy’s Café is closed.
Porkington’s friend Anthony lies near death after a terrible accident.
Desperate for relief from the sorrow and uncertainty in the City, Porkington joins his friends Tom and Beth for a quiet escape to the Weaver House, a country inn on the peaceful shores of Mourning Dove Lake.
But the Weaver House is not as peaceful as it seems. A ghostly presence lingers at the inn, and a portrait in the parlor holds a clue.
Mildred Weaver, long gone from Weaver House, cannot find peace until her beloved pet Moxie is found. Porkington wants to help, but how can he track down a dog that died decades ago, in a place he’s never been?
As Porkington searches for answers, he wrestles with the biggest questions of all: what happens when we die? And how do we go on living when someone we love is gone forever? While waiting for word of Anthony’s fate, Porkington discovers a spark of life he didn’t expect, and meets someone who reminds him that even when the world feels haunted, there is still love, joy, and a future waiting to be claimed.
